Katie and I puttered around in the morning, and we went to Alamo, where they are supposed to have the largest flea market in the Valley. Trouble is we didn't get there until around 2 and they are closed at 3. Many of the merchants started packing up all their goods at 2. Can't blame them, packing up hundreds of items, only to come back unpack them and lay them all out for customers is a lot of work!
It was in the parking lot, but also has an indoor portion on Wednesdays and the weekend, I guess that is to compete with Don-Wes flea market in Donna, which is very busy. The parking lot for this one is huge, and we could see why they call it the largest one in the Valley.
We strolled around but only bought a couple of small things for the kids. It was just fun to look around.
We stopped at Costco on the way back, they checked my tires and filled the ones that needed fresh Nitrogen.
Then we went to Lowe's and got some flowers for our pots at the front of the trailer. Doesn't matter we only have a month left, they look good.
Then it was home. We were tired from walking around the Flea Market, but we got busy and washed the car. Usually we get one of the Mexican Car washes to do it for $15 or $20 inside and out like detailing...but after all the rain they were all too busy.
The car was filthy from the trip, but Katie and I worked on it together and we did a good job. Not as good as the Mexicans do, but good nevertheless. Then we washed the golf cart, so good...both done! Now the trouble is, calling for rain again Sunday and Monday, maybe Tuesday.
Katie planted the flowers and did a fine job!
Rest of the night we just relaxed and went for a walk, as the weather was good.
oh by the way have you met our little girl Livy?
And so ends another great day in the Valley!
more later...
