Tuesday March 10th

More rain this morning, but didn't last too long. Put up my new motion detector as a result of our shed being broken into. Have two now...the one I put up yesterday is very good, and the other one was cheap and offers a different function. It's led lights stay on at night, and it if detects motion it gets brighter. Just adds some light to the patio is all...and both are solar. The new one only goes on when it detects motion and you can adjust length of time the light stays on, the distance for movement etc.

Later on we went to Walmart as we wanted to find an english grammar book for Karelly. Lenny is going to start teaching her English. She gets English at school but only a half hour a day. We couldn't find one there, so we went to Barnes and Noble and managed to find one there. I also found some apps online for her tablet.

We also wanted to get a few things for going to Mexico on Wednesday. Katie made a huge pot of spaghetti, we got a couple of loafs of garlic bread and some coleslaw. The kids loved the coleslaw we brought from KFC last year.

It kept spitting rain on and off during the day. Katie and I settled in for the night. Watched some of the second period of the Jets game, turned it off at the end of the 2nd period when it was 4 to 1. Shouldn't have...they tied it up in the 3rd period, before that idiot Pavelec let in the winning goal from the other side of the blue line with 1:03 left in the 3rd period. Jets could have used that point and maybe the win. He always seems to do that, lose concentration, and that is why he should not be playing for the Jets next season. You could just see the players who had worked so hard to tie it up, just sag and you could see their heads and shoulders drop. Talk about frustrating and disappointing!

Anyway...on to the really important things in life...looking forward to seeing our girls tomorrow, and having a great dinner with what Katie made!

and so ends another great day in the Valley...

more later...

About Us

Every Year for the past few years, Katie and I journey to Pharr, Texas, where we have a mobile home in Paradise Park. We also sponsor three girls in Nuevo Progeso, Mexico, so they can go to school. We travel to Mexico to see the kids, with Sr. Maureen Crosby who runs the program and our friends Ken and Vickey, who are Sr. Maureen's constant helpers. Starting last year we also go by ourselves several times
