Katie made bread in the morning, we have a bread maker. She brought the flour with her as it is not the same here. Their bread generally is just not that good, and certainly not what we are used to.
Here is the result and it is good.
Katie and I went and hit some golf balls. She was doing well, I am hitting my driver well, but my irons are hit and miss.
In the afternoon we went to the Canada Picnic which is held every year in the hall. It used to be a pot luck thing, but that didn't work out that well. Couple of years ago Katie made a whole bunch of meatballs, but by the time our table got to the food, they were all gone. Some folks just don't worry about anyone else.
Now the meat is made by one of the volunteers, and the food is served from the kitchen. Much better idea! and all for the cost of $6 with a couple of bottles of wine on the table.
The meal was very good!
After the meal there were some prizes given out, a 50/50 draw, and then dancing. The event was scheduled to run until midnight.
We sat with Al and Bonnie, and her sister and her husband who also have a trailer in the park. Rick Moss and his wife Denise were also at the table. It was lots of fun.
Here are some candid pictures from the event.
Katie and I had some dances, then it was back home to relax a bit before bed.
And so ends another great day in the Valley!
more later...
